Taurus Search was founded as a boutique search firm focussing initially on Financial Services. Paul McMahon, our CEO, previously worked in Investment Banking within Treasury & Capital Markets before embarking on a career in executive search for the finance sector.

The firm has a proven track record in hiring consultants in a similar mould, with many of our search experts also being ex-industry professionals. As part of our global strategy, we believe that this ensures the highest quality candidate shortlists and successful recruitment outcomes for our clients.

In 2015 the New York office was established, with Paul relocating from London, where our headquarters are based today. Our roots across both sides of the Atlantic ensures not only local expertise but also means we have a global network of talent spanning North America, EMEA and AsiaPac.

Taurus Search has grown and expanded over time adding specialist recruitment desks in the Professional Services, Tech, Sales & Marketing, Energy, Infrastructure & Renewables, and Construction industries. Our European roots combined with a North American HQ provides international perspective and makes us uniquely placed for global market coverage.

Taurus Search is named for Paul's hometown of Clontarf in Dublin, Ireland. Translated from it's Gaelic origins, Clontarf means 'Meadow of the Bull'. Our bull logo and imagery is a nod to the financial prosperity of bull markets and an acknowledgement of our roots in Financial Services Recruitment Consulting.
