JOB TITLE: Senior Consultant – Head of Commodities


HRS/WK: 40 hours/week

SALARY: $108,000 to $120,000/year


JOB DUTIES:

Reporting to the Director and CEO, the Senior Consultant – Head of Commodities will have the following responsibilities:


  • Build out the Commodities recruitment offering in the NY office, covering the US market
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures of the Commodities department to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the department; Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the department's operational function and performance
  • Establish a network and database of candidates looking for jobs and clients looking for candidates on the ground in the US, specifically targeting Commodities
  • Develop new relationships with candidates and clients on the ground in the U.S. and grow a database, candidate pool and client portfolio from scratch.
  • Partner with clients’ hiring teams and manage the full life cycle of recruiting top talent, including sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, negotiating, offering, and on-boarding.
  • Negotiate with new business on a regular basis to set terms for BSM’s recruitment offering to clients and candidates
  • Leverage existing market relationships and contacts to deliver candidates that meet U.S. client requirements and grow the Commodities recruitment offering at BSM
  • Hire key personnel for the Commodities department and train them. Provide operational advice and guidance to others within this discipline.


Requirements: 


Qualifications & Experience

The Senior Consultant – Head of Commodities will have the following requirements for qualifications and experience:


4 years of experience working as a recruiter in the Commodities market, including 4 years of experience in each of the following areas:

  • Developing new client relationships in the Commodities markets with a focus on headhunting for M&A Investment Banking and Private Equity roles; achieving revenue targets set by employer.


May telecommute but must live within commuting distance of office in New York, NY. This position requires domestic travel to the office in New York, NY multiple times per week.
